'Jiya'
Woh hansta chehra,
Nanhi si woh chhavi
Chhotte chhotte kadam
Kaise dekhun main abhi.
Dur tujh se khud ko
Kiya maine hai khud,
Sach hai magar
Tu yaad aati hai bahut.
Aaj bhi jab udaasi hai aati
Teri ek tasveer mujhe hai hansati
Yaad karte hi tujhe ruh hai khil jati,
Kaise kahun kitni teri yaad hai satati.
Teri ek kilkari,
Woh masti mein ghumana,
Badi ho gayi hogi
Magar mujhe yaad hai woh zamana.
Kaash ki ek pal fir se
Tujhe mil paaoon,
Dur chahe hai jitna
Tujhe palkon pe baithaoon.
Hansun tere sang
Karun shararat madmati,
Kaash ki who guzre pal
Main waapis lauta pati…..

I can relate it or feel it more as my sister is getting married soon and what my mom is feeling these days...
Sometimes I feel its the biggest irony of life for parents ...whom u listen u hear u feel happy for, u fear..has to go else somewhere...
How stranded suddenly they become...how cheated they may feel offcourse for their daughters wellfare but ........
Thats a beautiful perspective, Puneet.
I wrote these lines for a friend's daughter who is almost year and half old and I miss her so much.
But what you have said is reality which is quite close in the similar way ....
Congratulations on your sis's wedding !!
beautiful... that all I can say... Its really beautiful... :-) flowing with emotions.
Cheers!
Thank you !! was touched by cute laughter of a baby in one of her pics and this came out in memory of those wonderful evening I used to have with her.
@Sushant
yes, actually back to my forte but I wrote this long back ( a month or so) but published it now :)
and yes, your perspective also made me think again... though as I hear from my Mom I was a very shy, silent, sleeping beauty as a kid... totally opposite of what I am now...
I appreciate you dropping a line in my otherwise dead blog.
Thanks
Thanks VJ ! Guess you do not blog much these days and even I saw this note today only.
@DreamCatcher
Thanks DC! When I wrote this poem it was for a small cutie of only 1 year but many other bloggers have given it a much better interpretation, the way they felt when they read it, especially the bro sis love... Glad you liked it !
